It all started at Homestead High School 

Teri's take: Our story is like any Lifetime movie that doesn't involve the chick getting murdered (I hope). Nerdy cheerleader meets nerdy football player, they fall in love in AP US History and spend hours talking together online. We attended every high school dance together, and spent countless hours together outside of school at Zesto's or Starbucks. Once it came time to pick colleges, we both ended up at Purdue. After living in paired cooperative houses, we spent our four and a half years of college together along with summer internships we somehow got to overlap each other in Indianapolis and California. I got a job offer in Chicago right after my last semester, and we decided to move to the windy city!

Sanjay's take: OMG a girl is talking to me? Better date her forever.

Dogs make the Best People

Shortly after moving into our tiny basement apartment in Chicago, we decided that no love story is complete without an animal companion.  That's where Brandon... wait, I mean Foster comes in! We adopted this tiny ball of fluff that's grown into an even bigger ball of fluff, and she truly is our fur baby. Don't believe us? Wait until you see the pictures from her birthday party...

Teri's take: On a Friday night after work, Sanjay brought me to the Shedd Aquarium to pick up his sister before we went to dinner. When we got there, a tree was decorated with bulb lights and he proposed while his sister hid and took pictures! We then headed back home where my friends and both of our families were waiting to surprise me before having a big dinner at my favorite Italian restaurant. Then came another big surprise: he had planned a secret trip to THAILAND (where I've always wanted to go), and we were leaving on Sunday. My first words after I could finally speak again were "someone needs to take me to Target RIGHT NOW!"

Sanjay's take: I know I just put that ring on your finger, but you can't take it to Thailand until it's insured. 

Who wouldn't say yes to a dream proposal and the promise of a lifetime with your best friend? We're so lucky to have found each other - and so lucky to have such amazing friends and family to be there with us along the way. Can't wait to celebrate with you at the wedding!
